The Iron Ranger is Red Wing's six-inch leather cap-toe boot, made with Goodyear welt construction and a Vibram 430 Mini-lug outsole. A leather insole and cork midsole form to the foot with wear. Choose Copper Rough & Tough full-grain leather or Hawthorne Muleskinner roughout. Made in USA.

How does the footbed change with wear?

The leather insole and cork midsole form to the shape of your foot over time. Use the Size & fit guide above when choosing a size.

Can they be resoled?

Red Wing lists both the Copper Rough & Tough and Hawthorne Muleskinner styles as resoleable. A resole is a repair service, separate from National Goods returns.

For Copper Rough & Tough, remove dirt with warm water and a brush, then wipe dry. Use Red Wing Foam Leather Cleaner on heavily soiled areas, wipe with a damp cloth and let the leather dry. Condition with a light, even coat of Red Wing All Natural Boot Oil or All Natural Leather Conditioner.

For Hawthorne Muleskinner, use the eraser bar from Red Wing's Roughout/Nubuck Cleaner Kit on marks, wetting the bar if needed. Let the leather dry, then brush to restore the nap. Red Wing recommends applying mink oil sparingly to Muleskinner leather; it will darken the color.
